Los Altos Grace Brethren Church
This renovation project in Long Beach, California involved a complete exterior renovation to an aging church and school facility. Faced with a tight budget and a desire to improve the image and durability of the building exterior, Moen Architecture enhanced the existing 50’s style modern architecture using inexpensive materials and by softening the straight lines of the building with simple curved hardscape elements. Exterior lighting was redesigned to provide accentuate the architecture. The redesigned courtyard and exterior spaces now provide a great environment for congregants and students to interact. Internal design modifications include reconfiguration of the sanctuary to accommodate new worship modes.
